This collection contains forty-two photographs of troops, facilities, and activities at Roberts Field in Birmingham, Ala., ca.1920. The photographs depict a wide range of activities including mechanical work on aircraft, target practice, troop reviews, swimming exercises, and a baseball game. Also documented are supplies and equipment, the mess hall and cooks, aerial views of Anniston, Ala. and Roberts Field, and group shots of officers. The photographs focus primarily on the 31st Division Air Corps, but other divisions are shown, including the 167th. The photographs are approximately eight by nine inches, five by six inches, and five by four inches. They were all photographed by the 106th photo section of the 31st Division Air Corps.
